Ian Callow passed away in Lafayette, California on 31st December 2018 at the age of 80.

After leaving King’s in 1956 Ian went on to gain a Masters from the Imperial College, Royal School of Mines at London University. Ian met his wife of 51 years, Janet Marianne Nelson, during their youth in Norfolk. Together they traversed the globe with his work as a mining/metals expert, living in England, Australia, Malaysia, Morocco, Chile, Portugal, Alaska and Canada before finally settling in Lafayette, California where they lived together for 41 years. Ian loved his work and their life was an adventure. Mr Callow is survived by his wife Janet, his three children, Joanna, Adele and Nicholas and by four grandchildren.
